Hi there! I’m Utkay, an Engineering Manager at an EdTech startup called Otsimo, based in the bustling heart of Ankara, Turkey. I spend my days wrangling code, people, and the occasional rogue idea that sneaks into a brainstorming session uninvited. When I’m not busy steering the engineering ship, I’m obsessing over ways to organize my thoughts like a high-tech Marie Kondo—because, let’s face it, who doesn’t want their brain to “spark joy”?

This blog is my little corner of the internet, a place where I can think out loud, jot down lessons learned, and catalog the experiments and processes that helped me not lose my mind while trying to build something great. Why am I doing this? Well, I believe in learning, evolving, and occasionally looking back to say, “Wow, I was kind of a genius there,” or, more likely, “What on Earth was I thinking?” By documenting my journey, I aim to make my accomplishments reproducible and my mistakes educational—for me and, perhaps, for anyone curious enough to join me on this slightly nerdy ride.
